The Toilet Seat Guitar Maker
Ever since he was a farm boy in Minnesota, Charles Deal has liked to tinker with one thing or another.
Lately, the 34-year old Mill Valley house painter and handyman has been stringing toilet seats for what he modestly describes as "a might sweet sounding guitar, if I do say so."
In the trade, his eminent contribution to the enrichment of American folk art is known as Deal's Dandy Guitar.
"I string only the best toilet seats," Deal says with the pride of a true craftsman, "and as a result my output is bieng snapped up at very reasonable prices."
