The Deal Guitar Business was founded in 1968 when Charles E. Deal, a rock and roll musician himself realized that "he might be sitting on a great musical idea."

A U.S. patent was granted in 1969. Throughout the following years his company has continued to grow in size and esteem.

A truly custom guitar builder, "Charlie"Deal has created numerous guitars for well known bands and artists including: Marty Balin of the Jefferson Airplane, Craig Chaquico of the Starship, and Bob Brown, Manager of Huey Lewis and the News.
